Low Calorie Recipes: Dessert Sauces & Dips

Low Calorie Recipes: Dessert Sauces & Dips

Not only does Walden Farms carry a wide variety of calorie free salad dressings and dips but they also carry dessert like sauces and dips.

In the last blog post (here) I wrote about the dressings, mayo, and dips I ordered through The Low Carb Grocery. I also had ordered Caramel Syrup and Chocolate Dip. The Low Carb Grocery does carry Walden Farms Chocolate Syrup but they were unfortunately out of stock at the time. I will update this post with a link when I’ve had a chance to try it. (Click here for the chocolate sauce review).

low calorie recipesCaramel Syrup:

– The caramel syrup had a very strong caramel smell and tasted a lot like caramel syrup.
– The texture was not sticky like traditional caramel syrups but more like a liquid form of caramel pudding.

Although not equal to traditional caramel syrups it tastes very good and I would very much buy it again and use it over fruit, ice cream, frozen yogurt etc..

Chocolate Dip:

– At first I really liked the flavour of Walden Farms Chocolate dip.
– It smelled like chocolate (sweet cocao smell) and a lot like chocolate cake icing
– It had a slightly sweet chocolate flavour much like a light chocolate icing and the texture was almost like chocolate pudding

Personally, I liked it and when dieting down to single digit body fat would find it quite helpful. My sister on the other hand tried it and said she wanted to vomit.

As with any 0 calorie product its best to try a few and find which ones might help you in times of desperate measure. Everyones palette is different.
I would buy it again for when chocolate cravings get difficult BUT I think I will be trying their chocolate syrup first.

Disclaimer: I am NOT at all affilated with The Low Carb Grocery or Walden Farms products, I just found their website and tried their service and products and was very pleased and I think many clients and people like you could benefit.

With dried apples and caramel candies in every bite, our less-than-100-calorie oatmeal cookies give you the flavors of fall year-round. The recipe makes 4-dozen cookies, so freeze the dough or make them all for a smart bake-sale addition.
